FILM: Come watch the story of how Ford Motor Company has been poisoning the Ramapough Lenaape Nation for decades in Ringwood, NJ with toxic paint sludge – at a site that became the first location in American history to be declared a federal Superfund site twice. Ford sold the contaminated land to community members but continued to dump long after homes were built on the site and families were living in them.

PANEL: Panelists will discuss the social and health impacts of this environmental violence on the Lenaape community, the extensive research that has gone into documenting the damage to members and the long term repercussions that the community still struggles with today. The kind of outside help that can be useful to the tribe will also be discussed.
