This month we’ll be talking again about how well we’re doing with local organizing efforts to stand up to the federal administration’s really ugly agenda. Did you know that the proposed EPA budget cuts haven’t been passed by Congress yet? This is a good time to call your elected Federal Congressmen and Senators and tell them to fight against those cuts.

And oh, yeah, about protecting the Open Internet aka #NetNeutrality… one of the biggest civil rights issues of our time.
 
EJ = Environmental Justice  &  Green Drinks = is just our name! (EJ = la justicia ambiental)
 


Q: What is EJ GREEN DRINKS?
A: EJ Green Drinks is our group’s name for the informal gatherings we hold. EJ is short for Environmental Justice and “Green” means environmental issues. Green Drinks are networking events with a sustainability/green theme. They’re held in environmental justice communities in north Jersey … but sorry ... no green drinks of any kind are being offered yet. 

Q: Who are “We”?
A: Green Drinks hosts are a friendly group of people who love to share information about sustainability, the environment, greening communities and empowering citizens (that’s a sustainability concept). We discuss activities and exchange information according to who's at the table any given month – and what they’re interested in.

Q: How long are meetings?
A: Green Drinks is more a gathering than a meeting: friends drop in and stay for any length of time they wish during the two hours we’re at each location. We always meet in places where the food is good, and they're typically BYOB spots – but check with management to make sure. Friends pay for their own food and drinks.
