Dear Friends,

On December 8th a legal clinic will be held at the Ciarco Learning 
Center in Hackensack to help youth eligible for the Deferred Action 
program with filing applications to legalize their status as US 
residents. This is the 4th DACA clinic being held in the north Jersey 
area.

We need more attorneys to assist at this one day clinic. If you're an 
attorney who can donate your time, or know an attorney who can, 
please be in touch with us.

 From 9-11am before doors open to the public, attorneys will receive 
training from legal professionals. Attorneys will not be exposed to 
professional liability, as instead of handling the filing for youth, 
they will simply be reviewing applications which the youth have 
completed.

Many immigrant youth in Bergen County, including many Latinos, 
qualify for DACA, but have not applied because they cannot afford to 
hire a lawyer and don't know how to file without the help of one. 
This legal clinic is the only possibility those youth currently have 
to become legal United States residents, which is one of their most 
precious dreams.

Please help these young people by donating one day of your time as an 
attorney volunteer.

with the Bergen Community College NAACP, Madres por Obama and Bergen
